Does anyone have...

a recipe for haystacks?

At least, I think that's what they are called. I'm referring to those chow mein noodle things, usually butterscotch, sometimes chocolate. At worst, I can just melt some butterscotch chips and dump chow mein noodles in, but I'm sure there's more to it than that.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey Rose, try these:

I know it's not quite what you asked for, but I think they'd be great with chow mein noodles instead of the pretzels. This recipe is super easy and quick to make. :) Hope it helps!

I went to allrecipes.com, also, and looked up Haystacks. Here's one recipe (third one listed), but there were lots of others:

1 (11 ounce) package NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 (5 ounce) cans chow mein noodles
3 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

* LINE baking sheets or trays with waxed paper.

* MICROWAVE morsels in large, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70 percent) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in peanut butter until well-blended. Add chow mein noodles and marshmallows; toss until coated. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

* DOUBLE BOILER METHOD: MELT morsels over hot (not boiling) water; stir until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter. Transfer to large bowl. Add chow mein noodles and marshmallows; proceed as above.

Both sound really good. Thanks so much for the help! I suppose I could have looked up allrecipes.com myself, but I thought for sure someone had the Master Recipe out there...can't wait to try it out. Thanks again!
