WDIDWT? Cooked Egg Whites

D1 has started on egg yolks this week, according to proper introduction-of-food procedures, whereby one delays introducing the egg whites for some time yet. And she loves egg yolks. So this leaves me with a hard-boiled egg white a day to consume. Plain with salt is rather uninspiring. Any ideas on what else one can do with hardboiled egg whites?

DOB suggests I could separate the eggs and then poach the yolks, but I am not positive this would work, and even if it did I don't think I'm quite inspired enough to fix enough meringues or macaroons to use up the raw whites. I guess I could throw them into scrambled eggs, but that seems too uninspired.

Creative egg salad might work. Toss in some chopped pickle and/or other veggies with your mashed egg whites and some mayo. Or you could be like my dad who will throw anything into a dish. (much to our horror at times!) I can totally see him mashing the egg whites and adding them to tuna or chicken salad as a filler. Oh, and one more idea that just occured to me. . . .make deviled eggs with some other filling.

I have no idea if this would work, but could DI eat cooled scrabled eggs? That way you wouldn't be stuck with egg troubles.

Actually, they'd be good in tuna salad, but I hardly ever make it. Deviled eggs with some other filling sounds good, but I haven't figured out what yet.

Scrambled eggs won't work because babies aren't supposed to have the tiniest speck of egg white until they're at least a year (according to "them"), and it's impossible to get all the white out.

If you make your own bread, you can always toss the extra whites in there. Take it out of the water quantity, and the texture should actually be improved. Also, you could easily smuggle egg whites into a lot of casseroles - they're very innocuous.
